Make candy cane holder cards for your childs classmates

My dd is finishing her first year of school next week and already she has received 15 or so candy canes and Christmas cards from her classmates.
I haven't yet gotten around to organising the Christmas cards yet so this arvo akw and I will be furiously making our cards . I have lots of left over scrapbook christmas papers and some stamped, embossed and cut out baubles and trees from a few years back that will make the job a little easier....I hope.
I want to make the card a holder so that i can slip the candy cane inside it somehow. I have hunted around for a few ideas and this is what i've found for inspiration so far.

Great xmas mini albums and scrapbooks

With all the house painting and stuff i haven't really had much time to add new 'stuff' to scrapbook-crazy so i think i will focus on updating the blog with links to great mini albums and resources. some are oldies but goodies.

teeny weeny accordion album for christmas

Accordion album

Forgot the link for the little 4"x4" accordion album tutorial.

Makes a quick 4x4 mini album from a sheet of cardstock that you can make in a snap! (if you want to add sturdy covers they will take extra cardstock etc.)

Great for a mini album on it's own or add it to a 12x12 page layout to hold extra photos or journaling. (for me they're great for hiding my super ugly handwriting on my layouts)

I'm gonna use them as extended Christmas cards. Use up all me littley scrap pieces of paper (yeah right, i will go and buy more paper...) and wow the fam with my super cool Christmas cards. I might even include a yearly round up letter and pop it into one of the pockets. Gee, this idea just gets better and better!! Will go and think about it some more.
