Making Plastic Bag Mini Scrapbooks

Now I know I tried making one of these a long time ago and I have probably already blogged about them here on SC but I had to post this tutorial to make a plastic bag mini book, or rather a mini book made from plastic bags (now i've confused myself) A great way to Upcycle.
So check out this youtube video tutorial.
In a nutshell you need 12 or more layers of plastic bag to make each page.
Iron the pages between some brown paper to make it all stick together and form a page. (you may want to experiment a little with this part - iron setting shouldn't be too hot)
Once you have your page you can paint them if you like then use them just like you would a chipboard page.
Pretty it up with pics and embellies, bind it and you're set.
Anyways, enjoy the vid.

Wow this is really good...have you ever thought of sending it to Ali Edwards to see if she would like to feature it on her Tuesday Tutorials...I'd say it would be worth a try...what a great idea to recycle - will definitely be using up ALL my bags to make pages then buying a bunch of fabric ones to use over & over ;-D thanks

Thanks for featuring my tutorial!! These pages are fun and easy to make! I also have a video of the finished album using these pages.

its a great little tutorial. I had always wanted to make one after using bags to make iron on templates for painting clothes. I'll post some pics of my half finished mini too - made from the thicker black rubbish bags - no embellies. Its a bit buckled from spending a year in a box right by the window... lol
